Northern Virginia Magazine Recognizes VSI Physicians in 2015 Top Doctors List
Virginia Spine Institute is proud to have our nationally-recognized Spine Surgeons included in Northern Virginia Magazine's Top Doctors 2015. Congratulations to, Dr. Schuler and Dr. Good for garnering this notable recognition. Dr. Schuler was selected in the category of "Orthopaedic Surgery" and Dr. Good was listed in both "Orthopaedic Surgery" and "Spine Surgery."
The selection methodology includes peer nominations and a panel of head doctors in local hospitals. Each panel nominated doctors based on all the internal tools they are privy to: internal evaluations, patient reviews, as well as overall quality of care.
Congratulations, Dr. Schuler and Dr. Good!
Dr. Schuler founded Virginia Spine Institute in 1992 to advance the development of contemporary neurological and orthopaedic spinal surgery. His knowledge, drive and innovative techniques have revolutionized spinal healthcare in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. Over the past two decades, he has grown our award-winning medical practice into the largest multidisciplinary spinal practice in the region.
In addition to performing the first hybrid multi-level cervical artificial disc replacement with fusion in the country, he has first-hand experience of this procedure from the patient perspective. After suffering from severe neck pain, disc herniations, and nerve compression, Dr. Schuler successfully underwent a hybrid procedure to treat four levels of his spine and is fully recovered and back to his life, pain free! Watch his video documentary, "Role Reversal."
Dr. Good specializes in the non-operative and operative treatment of spinal deformities. His expertise extends to all types of cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine care ranging from acute conditions to degenerative conditions and complex revisions to unsuccessful prior surgeries. His dedication to returning his patients back to their lifestyles safely and effectively has him using the latest techniques in spinal reconstruction as well advanced skills in minimally invasive and motion-preserving surgery.
His most recent breakthrough in spinal health care was the first robot-guided surgery in the mid-Atlantic region. In addition to the latest techniques in spinal reconstruction, Dr. Good is also advanced in minimally-invasive and motion-preserving surgery.
