VSI Donates To Backpack Drive

Although most schools won’t start for another month, back to school shopping has begun. Unfortunately, a surprising number of children won’t be prepared as more and more families find themselves unable to afford the ever increasing costs of school supplies in an already struggling economy. The Virginia Spine Institute is excited to join Reston Interfaith again this year in their annual Back To School Backpack Drive.
On July 31st volunteers from The Virginia Spine Institute delivered backpacks collected from employees throughout the month of July. Reston Interfaith will fill the backpacks with supplies provided by Kids R First. “Children are an integral part of our lives and our future. Ensuring they have all the necessary supplies for school is one way we can contribute to getting them off to a great start”, said Tina Stubar, Human Resource Manager and backpack drive coordinator.
