VSI Donates to Reston Interfaith

Posted on: 09/18/2009

On Friday, September 18th The Virginia Spine Institute presented a check to Reston Interfaith at the Laurel Learning Center.

The Virginia Spine Institute (VSI) is aware of increasing needs in the Northern Virginia community due to difficulties in the housing and economic sectors.  By developing a strong and engaged relationship with Reston Interfaith (RI) and learning about the scope of the non-profit’s social service programs, the Institute chose once again to become a Strategic Partner of RI.  The staff of VSI was particularly impressed with RI’s Laurel Learning Center, where they witnessed first-hand the family services and child care available to the community.  Both VSI and Reston Interfaith share a common goal of promoting well-being in the Northern Virginia community, and work hard every day to respond immediately and comprehensively to those who are suffering. “Our mission of helping individuals heal and resume their life mirrors Reston Interfaith’s mission of helping those less fortunate achieve self-sufficiency,” said Thomas C. Schuler, M.D., CEO of The Virginia Spine Institute.  As an organization committed to wellness, The Virginia Spine Institute is proud to partner with RI in its mission to provide support and advocacy for those in need of food, shelter, affordable housing, quality childcare and other human services.
