Surgical Treatments
The surgeons of The Virginia Spine Institute are experts in all areas of spine surgery. We require that all of our surgeons be fellowship trained in spine surgery, residency trained in orthopaedic surgery or neurosurgery, and be board certified in spinal surgery (board eligible accepted until earliest possible completion date). When surgery is necessary our physicians will recommend the appropriate operation to safely and successfully resolve your spine condition. Our goal is to limit disruption of spinal structures by minimizing the surgical incision size and muscle retraction. We strive to solve your spinal issue in the safest and optimal fashion to yield the best short term and long term result.
We understand that surgery can be an overwhelming process. If surgery is necessary, we will walk you through it step by step to make sure you have a complete understanding about the surgery itself and what to expect during recovery.
