What were you doing in 1992? More importantly, how has your life transformed since then?

In 1992, Dr. Thomas Schuler founded the Virginia Spine Institute to create the first comprehensive spine center. Over the past 30 years, we have grown from a one-physician practice into an international destination for the best spine care.

It’s incredible when you realize how much spine care has evolved during this time. More impressive, is VSI’s leadership in driving this transformation from the dark ages and medieval treatments that prevailed in the early 90s, to the amazing technologies that we now use to restore our patients’ lives.
