Physical Therapist
Member of VSI Team Since 2022
Ryan received his Doctorate of Physical therapy from Shenandoah University in 2022. Through the teaching there he gained vast knowledge of hands on techniques and exercise prescription. While in school he was able to complete a clinical rotation at a variety of clinics including one where he worked and treated with many professional and collegiate athletes. Ryan brings a passion for sports medicine and recovery to his practice. After experiencing his own injuries, Ryan has seen for himself the benefits physical therapy can have on returning to the sports he loved. Such a lasting impression caused him to want to help others have the same experience.
Ryan has completed the base level for Schroth method through the Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School. This method utilizes the three dimensional approach when treating patients who have been diagnosed with scoliosis. He has a passion for treating and educating his patients about their scoliosis and what can be done.
He has completed level 1 of the titleist performance institute (TPI): The body-swing connection. This has taught him to look at the golf swing differently in order to find impairments that may be limiting patients range of motion and or being the source or trigger of the golfer’s pain. He plans on continuing his education for TPI to focus further on the medical side of the program.
Ryan played lacrosse and golf while in high school and went on to continue his lacrosse career at Shenandoah University. There he earned academic and athletic honors for his conference. While Ryan was in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Shenandoah he stuck around the lacrosse program as a volunteer coach primarily working as a position coach for attackmen.
Ryan is here to help improve a patient’s overall quality of life and reach a potential they did not think was achievable.
One of his favorite mottos is, “No matter how good you get you can always get better, and that’s the exciting part”- Tiger Woods.
Athlete or weekend warrior, Ryan looks forward to working with motivated individuals who are willing to trust him and work together in order to accomplish their therapy goals.
