Doctor of Physical Therapy,
Caitlyn Kost, PT, DPT
Caitlyn recently received her doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University, whose program prides itself on the implementation of evidence based practice. During her time at SU, Caitlyn completed a clinical rotation with Virginia Therapy and Fitness Center where she was able to advance her clinical experience with spine-specific diagnosis and treatment. Caitlyn finished her most recent clinical experience with UVA HealthSouth Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center, a clinical location site recognized for its affiliation with Virginia Orthopedic Manual Therapy Institute residency. Through this clinical rotation, she was able to expand her experience treating athletes with a wide array of injuries while taking an individualistic approach to therapeutic interventions, manual therapy techniques, and home exercise programs. Additionally, she was able to gain experience performing running analyses in order to maximize performance and prevent injuries in athletes. Through all of her clinical experiences, Caitlyn has developed evaluation and treatment techniques that target each patient uniquely in order to return the client to their individual goals and to promote the highest level of functional ability possible.
Caitlyn is a die-hard Hokies fan who relocated back to her hometown of Fairfax Station to be closer to family, and her new nephew. She holds a deep passion for cooking and baking, and loves trying new and crazy types of cuisine. In fact, on her last day as a student with VTFC, she celebrated by trying Korean barbecued cow stomach with her fellow clinicians. Caitlyn prides herself on being a self-proclaimed pho expert, and claims that she could live off her favorite pho tai for the rest of her life (with CAVA being a close second).
