The choice to enter the field of medicine was shaped by the profound human suffering I observed at the end of the Vietnam War. The relentless dedication of medics and doctors in aiding both civilians and strangers deeply impacted me. These experiences, alongside participating in numerous mission trips with my church, allowed me to witness firsthand the healing potential of medical care in alleviating suffering and renewing hope. Motivated by these experiences, I committed myself to a life dedicated to helping others.
