Authored by Dr. Christopher Good, MD, FACS. December 11, 2018

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — DECEMBER 12, 2018:

Virginia Spine Institute Spine Surgeon and head of robotics program Dr. Christopher Good earned national recognition for his involvement in the expansion of Reston Hospital Center’s robotics program. Considered a world expert in robotics, Dr. Good has spearheaded the use of Mazor X robotic technology for nearly a decade to perform complex minimally invasive surgeries with improved safety and efficiency.

The addition of a second robotic system at Reston Hospital Center provides additional resources for Virginia Spine Institute’s surgeons to offer minimally invasive robotic-guided spine surgery. Moreover, it aids Dr. Good in teaching this advanced technology to surgeons from around the world as he was appointed the proctoring surgeon for Reston Hospital Center’s Visiting Clinical Program.

LEARN MORE IN AN EXCERPT TAKEN FROM THE NEWS RELEASE —

Reston Hospital Center is one of only eight Visiting Clinician Programs (VCP) in the United States where surgeons from around the world come to train on the latest in Mazor technology.  The VCP gives surgeons the opportunity to learn about the latest in robotic-assisted spine surgery capabilities from the proctoring surgeon, Dr. Christopher Good of Virginia Spine Institute. In addition to the surgical training, surgeons also learn how a comprehensive robotic surgical program runs from an operational and administrative perspective.
