
Dr. Bharara Recognized As 2017 Top Doctor By Washingtonian Magazine

Congratulations to Dr. Niteesh Bharara, Director of Regenerative Medicine at Virginia Spine Institute, who was recently named a 2017 Top Doctor by Washingtonian Magazine. Each year Washingtonian Magazine recognizes the region’s best physicians through peer nomination and selection. This year’s list included 1,800 physicians, spanning 39 specialties.
Dr. Bharara is well-known in the Greater Washington D.C. Metropolitan area for his expertise in interventional pain management and sports medicine. His practice extends beyond treating back and neck pain to include sports medicine, headache disorders, secondary joint disorders, ultrasound-guided pain interventions, neuromodulation, and acute pain medicine. He performs a variety of outpatient pain reduction procedures including nerve blocks, epidural steroid injections, and spinal cord stimulators.
He is most notably recognized as a pioneer in the region performing the latest alternatives to spine surgery in the form of Regenerative Therapy including Platelet Rich Plasma and Stem Cell Therapy. His philosophy promotes the practice of innovative and safe interventional pain management techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of pain and related disorders.
