Dr. Bharara joins Virginia Spine Institute's comprehensive and interventional pain management team with multifaceted experience treating musculoskeletal patients, performing electro- diagnostic procedures, and administering peripheral and spinal injections. He is recognized as a pioneer in the region performing the latest alternatives to surgery in the form of Regenerative Therapy including Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy, as well as a leading innovator using Stem Cell Therapy for musculoskeletal conditions. His philosophy promotes the practice of innovative and safe interventional pain management techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of pain and related disorders. With this, he also exemplifies a compassionate approach with his patients to alleviate pain, restore maximum function and improve quality of life.

His areas of expertise extend beyond treating back and neck pain to include sports medicine, headache disorders, secondary joint disorders, ultrasound-guided pain interventions, spinal cord stimulators and neuromodulation, and acute pain medicine. He performs a variety of outpatient pain reduction procedures including nerve blocks, epidural steroid injections, and spinal cord stimulators.

Prior to joining Virginia Spine Institute, Dr. Bharara acted as Chief Resident and served as Clinical Instructor during his residency in 2011-2012. He was awarded a select fellowship and subsequently named a Senior Fellow at Temple University Hospital's top ACGME-accredited fellowship training program in the subspecialty of Interventional Spine & Pain Management.
